Why we started

Most organisations run on the same off-the-shelf software as everyone else, built for the average customer rather than for them.

We started Agasthya AI to change that: to build software and AI that fits each customer.

We began with education. Canop lets coaching institutes run from one place, with a schools edition coming in 2027, and Canopus AI is an AI tutor built around each student’s board and class. Alongside our own products, we build custom software and AI for businesses: web and mobile apps, AI agents, automation and more.

Agastya · Canopus

What the name means

Agasthya is named after the sage Agastya. In Indian astronomy, the star Canopus is called Agastya, which connects the company to its products: Canopus AI, and the Canop logo, where Canopus is the largest of its eight named stars.

Canop Schools: your students’ data never trains any AI.
We use customer data to train AI only with the user’s permission. For anyone under 18, that permission comes from a parent or guardian.
Beyond running the service, we only use anonymised, aggregated data to improve our products.
